I will bring passion, dedication and precision into your real estate experience. Coming from an immigrant family and spending all my life in Edmonton, I have a good grasp of the different dynamics Edmonton can offer to any family or individual looking to buy a home. I went to school for I.T. and worked in the field for 3 years. Somewhere along the way, I realized that I wanted a change to gain more independence and opportunities, and foster a growing interest in real estate investment. The turning point was when someone had lent me the book, “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki, I read that book in one night, and learned about real estate and how you can get into it. This led me to job shadow a real estate appraiser for a few days, afterwards, I knew this was the career for me, and I have established myself as a real estate agent for 9 years.
When meeting me, you will recognize the passions I hold for life. Professionally, I want to provide the right services for my clients. I firmly believe in “people hire people”, which means building a meaningful relationship. When I get a chance to work with clients who I can build a relationship similar to good friends, it makes me really happy, because the efforts of working earlier in the morning or late into the night for them does not seem like work anymore. Most of my clientele has described me as a good listener, attentive, and very personable. I avoid pressuring my clients, because I want to promote an environment where my clients feel there is equal respect, the right questions are asked, and I have a good understanding of the client’s needs and wants.
In addition, I value open communication and providing clients with the right tools they need to navigate the real estate market. I like to sit down with first time buyers and sellers, and go through the process, step by step. I understand home buying and selling can be a daunting task, and I want any potential client to have the knowledge needed before proceeding.
Outside the office, I am personally passionate about my family and friends that I strive to spend time with. I am fluent in Cantonese, and always looking for opportunities to improve my Mandarin. Now my life is not all about work, I am currently trying my hand at salsa dancing to add to my already active lifestyle of snowboarding, volleyball and travelling.
What really sets me apart from other real estate agents? I have an unique work background that could benefit your experience. I have a really strong I.T. background, I can use technology to help me in my business with you. Secondly, my real estate appraisal background, most real estate agents will typically guess or estimate, but I am trained with the ability to evaluate the value of the home. Lastly, I have experience in real estate investing and real estate development. Very few agents in Edmonton have this experience. I understand that most clients may not be interested, but access to my knowledge about these areas is there for my clients.
I will end with a quote that best represent my work philosophy:
“People will forget what you said,
People will forget what you did,
but people will never forget how you made them feel”
- Maya Angelou
